Wedding Hair Style - Achieve The Perfect Beautiful, But Formal Look

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

With formal hairstyling trends taking a step back from the rigidly crafted styles of yesterday, today's wedding hair styles are free, natural and a great deal easier to attain than they were a few years ago. But even though this is true, the bridal hair style is probably the most important style that you are going to choose for quite a while so it is best served by a little research and practice before the big day.

On your wedding day, hundreds of eyes will be on you, and your chosen bridal hair style can either complete the picture or detract from it. That is why it is so important to choose the perfect formal hairstyle well in advance of the big day so that you and your stylist can get it right and make custom additions to your wedding hair style. Nothing is worse than a hastily crafted coif decided upon only minutes before the ceremony.

You can begin your search for the perfect bridal hair styles and bridesmaid hair styles by browsing through style books that highlight formal updos and popular wedding hair styles. While looking, keep in mind the style of dress that you have selected and choose wedding hair styles that compliment the style, era and cut of the dress. The same thing goes for your bridesmaids dresses.

Another important thing to consider when choosing bridal hair styles are the styles, lengths and textures of the bridal party's hair. For example: if every member of the bridal party save one has short hair, selecting a French Twist as your only bridesmaid hair style would not be very feasible. But you could do a French Twist on the one member with long hair and select different wedding hair styles for the rest of the party as long as it doesn't bother you that everyone is not going to look identical.

When it comes to coordinating your wedding hair styles for your wedding party, you do not have to choose cookie-cutter styles for each member of the party. Look instead at bridal hair styles that compliment each member's personality, facial structure and hair texture. Let your wedding party members have some say in how they would like to wear their hair and set some practical guidelines such as whether or not the bridesmaid hair style should be pinned up off of the neck or allowed to flow free down the back.

Then, coordinate the individual bridal hair styles by using matching accessories and placing them in similar patterns on each member. These pointers apply for the bridal party only; the bridal hair style should set the bride apart from the others and be more intricate and beautiful than all other wedding hair styles chosen by members of the wedding party.

Once all bridal hair styles have been chosen, have a practice run where all of the ladies meet at the same salon and allow the stylists that are going to do the wedding party's hair on the big day have a crack at crafting the intricate wedding hair styles that you have chosen. While it may cost you a little bit of money to do this, it will save you a great deal of headache on the big day.

Strengths Extensive Hair Styles Galleries, Ebook on hair advice, 1 year membership, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Very quick- find a new hair style in 5 minutes

Introduction

Advertising and promotional material for this website focuses on uploading a photo and trying on various hair styles. When I first logged in to the members area, the first thing that got my attention was the incredible amounts of hair style photos for very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles. An immediate sense of relaxation came over me. If I couldn't find a good hair style among the thousands, well then there there just wasn't any hope.

There is also an extra E-book included in the membership that is barely mentioned on the web site. This E-book is great! It is a list of hair care tips and advice from a top hair designer in England. It covers all sorts of topics, such as how to select a hair designer, how to select a new hair style, various styling tips and tricks and what to do when your home hair color didn't turn out so great. This E-book has valuable information that everyone can use. I read every page of it--almost 100 pages total.

Hair Style Galleries

I quickly browsed through all the galleries, looking at all the different hair styles with different hair colors, textures, volume and even highlights. There are no photos of men's hair styles, ethnic or african-american women hair styles. The photos are all optimized to load quickly, so there is no time wasted waiting for photos to load. If you find a photo that you like you can click on it to enlarge it and even print a copy to take to your hair stylist. Printing the updo photos are especially helpful if you are looking for prom, bridal or formal hair styles. There is also the option to save the hair style photos that you really like in your favorites so you can play a slide show of them later.

Hair Style Editor

After browsing all the hair style photos, I move on to the hair style editor part of the website where I am told I can upload a photo of myself and try on some hair styles. The instructions to upload are very straightforward and I upload a photo of myself within minutes (it might have even been seconds). The photo that you upload should be taken against a plain white background and you should probably pull back most of your hair so it doesn't hang in your face.

Once you have uploaded your photo, you enter the hair style editor where there are four tools at your disposal.

Color Palette - allows you to change the color of your chosen style

Mask Pad - allows you to mask the undesired details on your photo prior to trying on different hair styles. For example, you may want to remove long hair that appears in a photo or the background of the photo

Size Tool - allows you to modify the size and proportions of the hair style you select

Trash Tool - allows you to remove the modifications that you just made without having to start over

First, I masked my photo so that only my face shape was showing. By the way, this is a great way to figure out your face shape! The masking takes a little bit of expertise with the mouse. If you are switching categories, for example, going from medium hair styles to long hair styles, you must re-mask your face again. You can change the width of the mask tool to make it a little easier closer to the face. After masking, I went to the category selector which allows you to browse thru and try on hair styles in the five categories, very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles.

Once you find a hair style you want to try on, you just click on it and drag it to your photo. It automatically loads. Then you can move it around a bit to make it fit right on your head. After you are done adjusting the size and color of the hair style, you can print it or save it as one of your favorites to view later. The photo that you get with the selected hair style is obviously computer-generated, but it does give you a glimpse of what the hair style would look like on you. For example, I have been wanting to add some bangs to my current hair style. When I tried on the hair style with bangs, it didn't look very good at all. I think I have decided to skip the full bangs for now and maybe go with just a few long whispy looking bangs.

Conclusion

Hair Styles Cuts and Dos is an immediate relief for anyone desperately looking for examples of any type of hair style. You can literally find a new hair style in 5 minutes!! The hair style editor is also a great tool to try on various hair styles and get an idea of how they will look on you. The extra E-book is full of tips and advice for hair, tons more than you would find in any magazine.

Typically a lot of women go and buy a bunch of magazines when they want to find a new hair style. If you consider the price of a magazine alone- between 3-5$-- and the fact that you don't always find the style you want in just one magazine, the price for admission at Hair Styles Cuts and Dos - currently $9.99 for a whole year ---is well worth it

The freebies on the site are very useful.

Uploading a photo takes about 10 seconds and you are allowed to upload as many photos as you want in the six-month membership. Once your photo is there you can go and try on hair styles in the 7 different categories Celebrity, Everyday, Formal/Bridal, Classic, Mens, Alternative and Dreadlocks.

After you upload your photo you go to a section where you determine your face shape. The face shapes are Oval, Round, Oblong, Heart, Square, Diamond and Triangular. The example face shapes are very easy to place on your photo. Determining your face shape is a breeze!! After your face shape is determined you have to line up the eyes in the diagram to your own eyes and adjust the color of the photo as needed. Next you move on to try on different hair styles

There is a large list of celebrity hair styles to choose from and if this is what you are after, The Hair Styler is your place!! Descriptions for the different hair styles are very useful. They include info on how long it will take to style that particular hair style, what hair care products you will need and what face shape and hair texture the style is suited for.

Everyday hairstyles are broken down into texture- with straight, wavy and curly as choices, and length- short, medium and long are choices. Formal/Bridal categories include UpCurls, UpSmooth, DownCurls, and DownSmooth. If you are looking for prom or bridal hair styles, this section will give you quite a few ideas for your special event. The descriptions for the hair styles are very helpful, giving you suggestions on styling, hair care products to use and how long the style will last.

The Classic and Dreadlock categories are not broken down any further and the Mens hairstyles choices are short, long and conservative. The face model for the mens hairstyles is still the women model, but if you upload a mans photo you will get a good idea of how the hair style will look.

In every category there is the option to save or print the hairstyle photo that you like. When you print the hairstyle it prints not only the hair style you like, but also the directions, hair care products to use, what face shape the style is recommended for and the time required to style that particular hair style. This is all very useful info that you can bring to your hair stylist.

Conclusion

The Hair Styler has many features that are helpful for selecting a new hair style. The hairstyles are realistic looking when they are loaded on your photo and the site is constantly updated with new hair fashions. The system is easy to use and no complicated sofware is needed, only an internet connection. Since The Hair Styler goes into face shapes and has many different categories, it may take you a little time to find what you are looking for. But the time is well invested with lots of useful hair style information that will help you with your hair style now and in the future.

Strengths Realistic 3D Models, Can get customized 3D face model, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Monthly Newsletter, Value pricing, Articles on hair styles, Oscar fashion, prom hair fashions

Introduction

Stellure is a relatively new site that offers hair imaging in three dimensions. It differentiates itself from other imaging programs because of the very realistic 3D aspect. Currently they have the first batch of 151 hair styles loaded in the system. They are adding a lifelike color tinting system soon and they have just negotiated a deal that will give them access to large volumes of top quality fashion and classic hairstyles. As more and more hairstyles are added, the membership prices will be going up. The best value at this time is the lifetime membership as it gives you the benefits of the increased catalogue at a much lower price. And, let’s face it, examining your hair style and trying to find new ones is a lifelong activity.

The Hair Style Studio

Joining Stellure is quick, easy and secure. Depending on what type of membership you have selected, you can view hair styles on a stand in model or upload photos of yourself for Stellure to create your own 3D model to view hair styles. For the purposes of this review, we went with the customized 3D model. There are detailed instructions on the site for taking the photographs. You will need a front view and a side view. If you have scanner it is very easy to take a regular photo and scan it in for uploading. If you don’t own a scanner, you could probably go to your local photo processing center and have it done for you.

Before you get started with the hairstyles, you are directed to the face shape wizard to help you determine which one your face fits into. The wizard loads very quickly and asks you several questions about the dimensions of your face. After you have answered everything, the wizard tells you your face shape. This is important information since all of the hairstyles come with descriptions that detail which face shape they are suited for. There is also a link to style advice in the members area to specific style advice for your face shape.

We opted for the Reflect membership where we would get our own customized 3D face model. We had two photographs taken of one of our staff members, one front view and one side view. Once we uploaded the two photos in the Stellure member area, we received an Email in less than 24 hours that the 3D model was ready. (They do state on the website that the 3D models will be finished in 48 hours or less). Once your 3D model is finished, you will get a list of recommended hair styles for your face shape and then you can go to the hair style studio to try them on.

To try on a hair style you simply click on the style and it will show up on your face model. You can set the face model to spin clockwise, counterclockwise or you can click on any of 12 different angles to view the hair style. The hair styles and face models are very realistic looking and the 3D view gives you a very good idea of what the selected hair style will look like from the back. The back view of a hair style is probably the most often ignored view of any hair style and the 3D spinning face model allows you to see the back from a very different perspective.

As you try on different hair styles, you can get styling information by selecting the small i on the menu, you can print the hair style and you can save it in your favourites to view later. When you print a hair style, you will get a front view, back view and a view from each side. The detailed description is included in the printout. Information such as suitable lengths, length descriptions, suitable densities, face shapes, trim period, texture description, styling instructions, maintenance level and styling time. These are all very important factors to consider when considering a new hair style. If a hair style you like requires 30 minutes to style every morning and you do not have that kind of time, then you will probably not be very happy with your results.

There is a search function that will allow you to search by category, face shape, hair density and hair length. Categories include: Latest, Classic, Glamour/Evening, Formal/Bridal, Easy Care and Updo. Face Shapes include Oval, Rectangle, Square, Round, Heart, Pear and Diamond. Hair Density includes Thin, Medium, Thick and Hair Length selections are Short, Medium and Long.

In addition to the hair style studio, you will receive a monthly newsletter that discusses the most current hair style fashion and how to get it. This is great info if you want your hair to be in fashion. And, if you can't find the hair style you are looking for, you can actually request it.

Conclusion

The fact that the technology used to develop the 3D Hair Style Studio at Stellure is patent pending says a lot about the high quality of the program. Most hair imaging programs offer just the front view of the hair style and Stellure offers a 3D look at selected hair styles with either a stand in model or your very own face model. It factors in your face shape information and offers suggestions for selecting a new hair style The results are very realistic and as more and more hair styles are added to the Hair Style Studio, this subscription based program will be the place to go if you want to find a new hair style and see how it will look on you.

Short Hair Style? Make It Stylish, Sexy, and Chic

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

In all of its transformations and variations, the short hair style has always been numbered at the top of the list when it comes to versatility, style and manageability. No other style catches the eye quite like the short hair style and no other style makes the wearer look as professional, chic and sexy as the short hair style

Short hair styles worn by women are a fairly new style trend when compared with women's hair styles in general. In fact, cropped styles only came to the forefront of fashion a little more than 50 years ago. Since that time, the short hair style has given women the freedom to express themselves in numerous ways. From the funky and spiked to the soft and feminine, the short hair style can be worn by any woman of any personality, style and age.

Short hair no matter what the age

It has long been a held belief that an older woman should wear a short hair style to make her appear younger. While there is some truth in the belief that long hair tends to make wrinkles and flaws more noticeable, short hair styles and long hair styles can both be worn by women of all ages if they choose the right style to compliment their particular face shape and bone structure.

A good rule of thumb to follow when it comes to choosing a short hair style to suit your age is to pay more attention to your overall appearance rather than focus too much on how old you are. For example: Trendy, spiked styles can emphasize flaws and sagging skin, but I have seen women in their 70s with exceptional bone structure wear these short hair styles and look amazing. On the other hand, I have also seen younger women try to wear these same short hair styles and not be able to quite carry it off. So, if you want to wear a short hair style, pay close attention to your face shape, build and style of dress before deciding how to cut your hair.

Short hair to flatter your face

I've heard it said many times by many people, "I always wanted to wear a short hair style, but I don't look right with short hair" Ladies, this is nonsense. Granted, not every woman can wear every short hair style, but every woman can wear a short hair style that is tailor-made to compliment their face shape and beautiful features.

There are five basic face shapes: oval, heart, round, square and triangular. All of these shapes can be beautiful, but one is ideal: oval. No matter what shaped face you have, achieving the perfect look involves picking the right cut or short hair style that will make your face appear more oval.

To do this, you and your stylists can try different variations of popular short hair styles to compliment your individual features. For example: If you have a round face shape, you can still wear your favorite short hair style as long as you bring some hair forward on your cheekbones and wear a little height in the bang to give your face the illusion that it is oval.

The bottom line is that the short hair style is not for just a few who have been blessed with perfectly proportioned features. With the right short hair style, you too can sport trendy sexy cropped locks that will be guaranteed to turn a few heads.

Are You Looking For a New or Updated Hair Style?

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

There are 3 factors that you should consider before changing your hair style. First you should look at your face shape and body structure. A short woman may not look all that great with very long hair and a tall woman may not look good with a very short hair style.

You can determine your face shape by pulling all of your hair back into a ponytail, away from your face. Take a piece of chalk, or something that is washable, and trace the outline of your face using a mirror. Stand back and look at the shape that you drew. Your face shape could be a combination of the basic face shape, or it is exactly like one of the basic face shapes.

Some of the basic face shapes include:

Square Face Shape: Layered bobs, wisps around the face, and long layers are generally recommended for this face shape. Avoid very short or cropped hair or slicked-back styles.

Round Face Shape: Usually a layered cut and/or feathered cut will accentuate your facial features. Avoid any width in the hair at the sides of your face as this will make your face seem rounder.

Oval Face Shape: The envy of us all--this shape can wear almost any type of hair. Layered, curly, short, long....anything.

Long Face Shape: Any hair cut that is below the chin is best for this face shape. Long Face Shapes should avoid short hair.

Heart Face Shape: Another envy of us all--this shape falls into the same category as the oval face where virtually any shape will look good.

The second factor that has a great effect on your hair style is your current lifestyle. How much time do you devote every day to styling your hair, washing your hair, etc. This can be very important when selecting a new hair style. If you select a high maintenance hair style and don't spend the time required to keep it looking good, you may not be very happy with the results.

The third factor for your hair style is color. Sometimes just a simple change of color or addition of highlights and lowlights can spruce up your style without having to do anything drastic. Color can do different things to your look. For example, adding a lighter or warmer color in the bang or crown area will lengthen your face. Whereas adding a darker or cooler color on the sides can decrease the width of the face.

Adding a lighter color to the sides will widen the face. Color can be used to create texture and accents to a hair style. Consult with your stylist for the best color combinations to use for your hair.

In short, if you are looking for a new or updated hair style, there are many different options available for you. You don't need to do anything drastic to look different. Visit the Hair Styles Galleries at Hair Resources and find a new hair style that you like. All galleries have free access---so you don't have to spend a ton of money looking for your style. Spend your money maintaining it!!

The Right Haircut and Hair Style for You

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

We’ve probably all had the experience, at some time or other, of walking out of a hair salon full of dismay and disappointment at our new look! This doesn’t have to happen again.

Talking with your hair stylist

Do be honest in this discussion! If you don’t want to spend hours every day fixing your hairstyle, be sure to let her know. Listen if she makes suggestions.

If you know what haircut and style you want, it’s easiest if you can show your hair stylist a picture of it. You could browse the many hairstyle websites and print one for yourself, or find one in a magazine. This will help avoid misunderstandings.

If you can’t find such a picture, the salon will have a binder or catalog which may give at least an approximate image. A common complaint is, “She cut too much off”. So to indicate how much you want cut off, place your hand at the right position, rather than saying “Cut about 2 inches off”. Have your hair stylist step back and get a good idea of how much you want cut off.

Be sure and listen if she suggests that your desired cut and style will look different on you than it does in the picture; she has a lot of experience!

If you’re not sure what you want

Again, look through the binder of possible styles and discuss ideas with your hair stylist. Don’t just say, “You decide; do whatever you think is best”. You don’t want to invite experimentation! On the other hand, your stylist has a lot of information and could make suggestions you might never have thought of. It helps if you know what shape your face is.

How to discover your face shape

Using a flexible tape measure, make the following measurements and write down the results:

1. Across your forehead at the widest place, about half way between your eyebrows and your hairline

2. Across your cheeks from the edge of one cheekbone to the edge of the other

3. Around your jawline, between where it’s widest on each side

4. From our top hairline to the tip of your chin

Compare those numbers. The face shapes are:

· Round: Approximately as wide as it is long

· Oval: Greater length than width

· Long: Length is 1½ times the width

· Heart-shaped: Wide at the forehead and cheeks and more narrow at the jaw. Often has a pointed chin.

· Square: Equally wide at the forehead, cheeks and jaw

· Diamond: Wide at the cheeks and more narrow at the jaw and forehead

Then what?

Now there’s a decision as to whether you’d like to camouflage your face’s shape, or allow it to be what it is. Some hair stylists recommend hairstyles that will lengthen a round face, for example, or widen a long one. But if you like the shape of your face, why hide it? This is a personal decision, and your thoughts can be shared with your hair stylist.

Some general tips

· A short or cropped style will help a short neck to look longer, as will long hair piled up

· Hair close around the face will help camouflage a double chin

· A short cut will look good on a person with a well-formed neck, delicate features, firm jaw, and / or a well-shaped head. Those features will show to advantage when they’re not shadowed or covered by hair

· Long hair will look good on a person with very healthy, shiny hair, and if it’s cut in an up-to-date style and doesn’t fall below the cleavage.

· Layered cuts can soften facial features

· A chin-length cut of straight hair will look good on a long face, as will curls and waves, but not styles which pile the hair up

· A short, wispy cut will look good on a round face

· A short, spiky cut will look good on a square face, as will any sleek style that extends below the jawline

Jacquelyn, the office manager at Salon Cabochon in Sacramento, CA, told a story recently of a friend of hers, Marge, who had been unemployed for nearly a year. The friend came in desperation to Jacquelyn. “Would you give me a whole new look, Jacquie? I’ve spiffed up my resume and clothes and makeup. So it must be my hair that’s the problem!”

A salon stylist assessed Marge’s facial shape, hair texture, and general silhouette, then created a soft wavy style very different from the previous short crop. The following week, Marge got a job! Was it her improved appearance? Her increased hope and confidence? Who knows, but it worked!

If you or someone you know is interested in a hair styling session, please feel free to contact the Salon Cabochon in Sacramento, California for a consultation. (http://www.saloncabochon.com/)

Create Volume And Lift With A Layered Hair Style

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Layered hairstyles are great for just about everyone. For people with thick hair layering can remove excess bulk and weight. This will allow you to create hairstyles that have volume and lift.

If you have thin hair layered hairstyles will allow you to incorporate more air into your hair giving you the illusion of volume. These hairstyles will also give your hair more texture and depth. This will allow you to create hairstyles that will make you look like your hair is thicker than it actually is.

There are layered hairstyles for short hair, medium length hair and long hair. If you have short hair then the shag is a great option. For medium length hair the Friends haircut was a very popular option. Today you can get an updated version of this haircut. If you have long hair a layered hairstyle is a great way to reduce the amount of weight that is pulling down on your scalp, and it is a great way to give your hair shape and dynamics.

While layered hairstyles work well for just about everyone, you need to know what hair care products to use to keep this style looking chic. If you have wavy or curly hair you will want to use a frizz control, curl control, and/or curl enhancers to keep your curls and waves defined. If you have straight hair you will want to make sure that you use the right shampoo, conditioner and styling products to keep your hair healthy and to protect it from styling damage.

Holiday Hair Style: How to Look Perfect in Summer

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Keeping your holiday hair style under control isn't just about keeping your expensive up-do from falling down while you're dancing. It's about healthy-looking hair during those wet, hot, and sticky months of summer, whether at home or on vacation.

Those who live in areas where the sun and humidity get downright unbearable during the summer know how difficult it is to keep their hair looking good. But if you aren't familiar with the potentially damaging effects of humidity, salt water, sand, chlorine, wind and dry air, you might not know how to properly care for your holiday hair.

It's easy to breathe new life into it by following a few simple summertime tips.

Hair that's full of split ends looks bad so the first thing you should do even before the summer months set in is give your hair a good trim to remove those damaged ends or try a new hair style. Hair looks instantly better after it's been cut.

If you plan to color your hair, remember that chemically treated hair is more vulnerable to environmental conditions such as sun, water and humidity. Plan your hair coloring three weeks before your trip so your hair has time to regain its natural balance and is more resistance to damage.

Another thing you can do is ask your stylist for a deep conditioning treatment prior to your vacation. This will help to smooth the hair, repair damage and make the whole hair structure stronger.

Depending on your destination climate, you might also need to bring a surface conditioner with moisturizing qualities for hot, dry weather or frizz control cream for a humid climate. Unlike deep conditioners, these products coat your hair with a protective layer while adding gloss and making your style more manageable.

It just wouldn't be a summer vacation without time in the water. Although swimming and other water activities are a lot of fun, they can wreak havoc on your holiday hair. Whether you're swimming in the sea or at the hotel pool, always rinse the sea salt and chlorine out of your hair with plenty of fresh water.

Chlorine dries out the hair, making it brittle. It also fades the color and with some hair colors, can turn hair an unsightly shade of green. It's not the chlorine that turns your hair green but the presence of heavy metals like copper. The chlorine initiates the process by damaging the hair cuticle, which allows these metals to enter the inner structure of hair.

It also wouldn't be a summer vacation without spending as much time as possible in the sun. We know how damaging the sun's UV rays are to our skin, but these rays also damage the hair's structure. They break down the keratin which results in dry hair that breaks easily. So look for hair care products that contain UV protection and use them as directed to help your holiday hair style look as healthy as your holiday tan.

Lots of people with fine hair apply too much anti-frizz serum to their scalp and hair, which makes it look greasy and weighed down. Instead, apply a light conditioner beginning at the middle of the hair strand and continuing down to the ends. Then finish your hair style with anti-frizz serum applied only to the ends to seal off the tips so water can't enter the hair shaft.

When you're packing your suitcase, be sure you include a mild shampoo, a mild conditioner, an anti-frizz serum (especially if you have naturally curly hair), and hair spray for those times when your holiday hair needs extra hold. And check to make sure all these products contain UV protection. Just remember: using UV products doesn't mean you can stay out in the sun indefinitely. Your hair and scalp can be damaged if exposed to too much sun so don't forget to bring a sun hat.

3 Tips for Creating a Quick Trendy Hair Style

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Everyone wants to look the absolute best that they can look, but unfortunately, not everyone has hours to spend fixing their hair. But this does not mean that taking ten minutes to style your hair isn’t going to make your hair style look good, in fact, creating quick, trendy and beautiful hairstyles can be done in a very short space of time. Here are three tips on how you can turn ten minutes on your hair look like you spent ten hours on it!

Firstly, when really pressed for time, for instance on mornings before rushing off to work, it is not always convenient to wash and blow dry your hair before figuring out how you would like to style it. For folks with long hair, curly or straight, washing hair can take some time, and blow drying hair can take much longer.

Well, to avoid having to make difficult decisions like washing out the shampoo from your hair completely or drying your hair completely, try washing hair and blow-drying it until the hair is still only half dried, then add a sprit of a frizz control product (for curly hair) or some styling gel. Run it through your hair with your fingers. By now your hair should be looking messy and big, but that’s exactly how you want it to look, because now that you have the right body and the product control in place, it should be easy to wrap you hair in a French roll style or pin up you hair however you want to, leaving bits of hair dangling around your face and neck. This style is perfect for curly hair since it does not look disheveled, but rather elegantly eventful. For straight hair or fine hair, however you choose to pin up you hair is of no consequence but what you will want to do is pin it up as loosely as possible without it undoing itself.

Another great way to create a beautiful hairstyle in a very short space of time is by getting a hair cut that you can add a styling product too and scrunch into a defined shape. Layered hair and short cropped hair are the easiest hair cuts to style on the run, since layers make your hair fall into a shape naturally so all you’ll need to do is add a styling product to keep the layers vibrant, while short cropped hair can be spiked, or smoothed flat and held in place with the aid of a styling product. But the easiest way to create a great trendy hairstyle quickly is to accessorize. Headbands and head scarves are always trendy and they come in flamboyant colors and styles or conservative colors and styles making them extremely versatile for any occasion.

And finally, to create a great hairstyle within minutes, long or medium length hair always looks great pulled back. Now while this may seem a bit too ‘school girl’ for you, you can add some elegance and maturity to a pulled back style like a ponytail just by parting hair to one side and bring it down closer to your forehead letting it fall naturally. This gives more shape to the front of the face and it is a great look for the office where elaborate hairstyles would not be appropriate but simple accents to your hair like hair parting and lightly sweeping bangs would not make you look like a high school librarian. And for after work plans, you can further spice up this hairstyle but adding more volume to the falling hair that you parted by using a hair roller which will also make the hair look more playful.

Hairdressing training dvds

Choosing the right hair style for your big day is extremely important as it will either enhance or detract from the beauty of the bride. There are so many different wedding hair styles you can go with that it wouldn’t hurt to try a few before you decide on one. The whole idea is to find a hair style that will accentuate your beauty as well as that of your wedding dress.

Finding that perfect wedding dress is top priority, but the perfect dress needs to be crowned with the perfect hair style to complete your look. Your style can be casual, contemporary or classic, whichever you prefer, remember it’s your day.

Consider a hair style that highlights your personality as well as the theme of your wedding if you have one. Even though you want to change your look from ordinary to extraordinary for your special day, don’t pick a hair style that isn’t you! What might look stunning on one woman may not suit you at all.

Do a trial run to your hairdressers before your wedding day so you don’t get any surprises on the big day. Set up an appointment with your hair stylist to do your hair exactly how you want it. Take a picture when your stylist is done so it can be used as a reference.

Some brides-to-be feel that they need to emulate the hair styles in the latest bridal magazines. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to! Stick with a hair style that you personally like. If the style of the season is a tight bun with ringlets, but you would rather let your tresses flow naturally, then do what makes you happy.

The internet offers a bounty of wedding day hair styles to browse through. Just be sure to go with a hair style that will make your natural beauty and your wedding dress pop. When you accomplish this, then you know you have found the perfect wedding day hair style!

Hairdressing training dvds

My girlfriend Sandra is a professional hair stylist and she helped me write this article on sedu hair style tips.

When she was on Friends, everyone wanted Jennifer Aniston’s hair. She had the perfect sedu hair style and women all over the world wanted to copy it.

Of course not everyone can afford to pay the $60-$90 a hair stylist charges for a sedu hair straightening. So if you want to enjoy your own Jennifer sedu hairstyles, you’ll have to do it yourself. The sedu hair style tips below will help you create the perfect look every time.

  1. The first thing you’ll need is a quality, professional-grade sedu flat iron. There are many sedu ceramic hair straighteners to choose from. I’ve included a link to the best-selling models at the end of this article.

Flat irons have come down in price and will only cost about $90 to $125. That’s not much more than a stylist would charge you to straighten your hair in a salon, and if you buy your own you can do it as often as you like!

  2. Whichever model you choose, be sure to read the instructions so you know what you’re doing.
  3. Make sure your hair is clean and dry before starting.
  4. Double-check the temperature. If it’s too hot you could damage your hair. If not hot enough, it won’t create perfect the perfect Jennifer sedu hairstyles you’re going for.
  5. Separate your hair into small sections. Start straightening from the bottom and work your way up to the top.
  6. Don’t go over the same section more than once. It will dry out and damage your hair.
  7. Let your hair cool before touching it. If you touch it while its still hot you can undo all of your hard work.
Straightening your hair at home is quite easy once you get the hang of it. Just follow the sedu hair style tips I just shared with you and everyone will think you spent a fortune at the hair salon!

Written by Shawn Pronger. Now that you've read these easy to follow sedu hair style tips, all you need is a quality sedu flat iron. For prices and reviews of the best-selling and top-rated hair straighteners visit http://www.topratedproducts.info/sedu.html

Hot New Hair Style Trends for 2006

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

New hair cut can give that extra dash to your personality! So why this wait is on? If you want to experiment with your hair then we have the latest hot trends that dominate the hair scene this year.

Bobs with Bang

This year what is in, is precision cut bobs, which are complemented with smooth, lustrous fashion, a blunt fringe and tons of sparkling. Normally bob is sensibly crafted to make more noticeable your individuality and distinctive facial constitution, sometimes also to highlight a long, beautiful neck. Bob hair styles vary from ear level to shoulder slithering which is most apt for straight or slightly wavy hair. Someone having curly hair, a bob takes the shape of a triangle which is widened at the bottom in an uncomplimentary way. So make sure that you choose this hair style only if it works with your facial structure.

Mad for Mod

Mad for mod has munificent amount of slicing or texturizing to lighten up the bluntness. What is distinctive about this hair cut is heavy, side-swept bangs and blunt lines. A mod hair style is similar to a bob, its feel and direction add-on to a mod feel. Your hip, mod hair do should be styled with a swooping motion, directing the hair around the head from the crown or a deep side part. Using hair products like waxes, clays, or muds add texture and a bit of grungy-funk to a mod hair style.

Asymmetry in Action

The name suggests what varies is texture and length differences and you bet this edgy look is bold and pretty much in demand! The best part is that you need not have to have long or short hair for this type of cut rather asymmetrical look can be done on a range of hair styles from a short cut, a bob or a longer, layered style. Asymmetrical cut whether they're cut blunt or heavily textured, a sloping bang draws attention and can emphasize your features nicely.

Strategic Layers

Strategic Layers are certainly becoming the most sought after as you can capitalize on what you have!! With the advancement of cutting techniques, hair styling is becoming more bold and unique to each person rather than a universal one-size-fits-all hair trend like back in the "Rachel" days. What you have to do is just look for a reputed hair stylist and listen to their ideas about styles and techniques that'll work best on your hair, while complimenting your features.

Peaks, Swirls, and Waves

The official name of this funky and daring hair cut which offers a lot of room for individuality is directional styling. This hair cut allows you to use your imagination to the fullest, what you have to do is just use a wax, clay, or mud hair product, something with a little grit, and a little hold, soften the product in your hands so there's a thin mask of product all over your palms and between your fingers. Now you are just half done, what is required is that plunge right in there and move the hair around with an eye out for an appealing shape. Swoop it, swirl it around, change directions suddenly till you achieve the desired shape, go grab blow-dryers (on a low setting) and maximize the peaks and waves using your most important hair styling tool...your hands. What you are not aiming for is exactness, but do aim for an "artful" feel, and some sort of marked shape

Color for Character

If you want to pamper your looks then go in for hair color which can have a extraordinary effect on an otherwise plain hair style. Rich dark colors are ultra-hot this year, sprinkled with a few equally rich highlights peeking out from underneath. Deep tones of eggplant, burgundy, and mahogany are a great compliment to a dark brown or black hair color. Tactically placed highlights, lowlights, or panels can heighten quality and add that X-factor to your personality

Hot New Hair Style Trends For 2006!

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Looking to experiment with new hair style trends in 2006? Your choices abound! There's an absolute feast of looks to choose from. Update your hair style with one of these hot trends that dominate the hair scene this year.

Bobs With Bang

Precision cut bobs are huge this year, coupled with smooth, sleek styling, a blunt fringe and heaps of shine. Your bob should be carefully crafted to accentuate your unique facial structure, or highlight a long, beautiful neck. Bob hair styles range from ear level to shoulder skimming and are best for straight or slightly wavy hair. If your hair is too curly, a bob can take on the look of a triangle, widening at the bottom in an unflattering way. Only opt for the bangs with this hair style if it works with your facial structure. And if you're feeling a little more groovy baby...incorporate a mod feel into your bob.

Mad For Mod

Heavy, side-swept bangs and blunt lines characterize this cut. A mod hair style is similar to a bob, it's texture and direction that add a mod feel. This cut has a generous amount of slicing or texturizing to lighten up the bluntness. Your hip, mod hair do should be styled with a swooping motion, directing the hair around the head from the crown or a deep side part. Using hair products like waxes, clays, or muds add texture and a bit of grungy-funk to a mod hair style.

Asymmetry in Action

This edgy look just keeps getting more extreme! Bold exploration is the name of the game. Unexpected texture and length differences. The asymmetrical look can be done on a range of hair styles from a short cut, a bob or a longer, layered style. And the angles can range from soft and gently sloping to an extreme plunge. This year, asymmetrical bangs are hot, and whether they're cut blunt or heavily textured, a sloping bang adds interest and can highlight your features nicely.

Strategic Layers

Carved throughout the interior of the hair, strategic layers bring out the authentic movement of each individual head of hair. Cutting techniques are advancing, and hair styling is becoming more bold and unique to each person rather than a universal one-size-fits-all hair trend like back in the "Rachel" days. Strategic layering allows you to capitalize on what YOU have, not just mimic "The look of the day." Find a good hair stylist and listen to their ideas about styles and techniques that'll work best on your hair, while complimenting your features.

Peaks, Swirls, and Waves

Directional styling, if you want to sound technical. This look is funky and daring, and offers alot of room for individuality. Since every head of hair is different, your unique character can shine within the peaks of this hot new hair style. Use a wax, clay, or mud hair product, something with a little grit, and a little hold. Emulsify the product in your hands so there's a thin veil of product all over your palms and between your fingers. Then plunge right in there and move the hair around with an eye out for an appealing shape. Swoop it, swirl it around, change directions suddenly. Coiffe with reckless abandon! And when you've achieved the start of a good look. Grab you blowdryer (on a low setting) and maximize the peaks and waves using your most important hair styling tool...your hands. Do not strive for perfection, but do aim for an "artful" feel, and some sort of discernible shape. Then set about your day and go forth with confidence knowing you're the baddest hipster on the block!

Color for Character

Hair color can have a dramatic effect on an otherwise plain hair style. Rich dark colors are ultra-hot this year, sprinkled with a few equally rich highlights peeking out from underneath. Deep tones of eggplant, burgundy, and mahogany are a great compliment to a dark brown or black hair color. Strategically placed highlights, lowlights, or panels can accentuate texture and add tons of character to your style. Compliment your features and skin tone, and add an edge to your haircut with some artful hair coloring.

Choosing Your Hair Style in 2007 and 2008

Hair can do so much for our appearance. It can make us look younger, fresher, prettier and distinguished. On the other hand if you pick the style that is wrong it could portray the wrong image for that you want.

For instance Britney Spears picked a no hair style approach. What do you think of her because of it? Crazy, right? In fact some are even saying her singing career is over and her hair is a part of the reason why. Bad choices with hair can lend to bad situations.

Here's one mistake that we often make with our hairstyle. You see someone that has a hairstyle that looks great on them. I mean they are either a movie star or they look like one. We then think to ourselves that if they look that good with it then we'll look just as good. There is one problem. We don't. Good looking hairstyles don't work for everyone. Certain factors come into play. The color of our hair, how much hair we have, the shape of our face and head and our build. You have to take these important factors to heart before picking the right hairstyle.

One of the best choices you can make is to go into a hair saloon and ask the professional that is cutting your hair what style would look best on me. Don't say you want to look like Jennifer Lopez or some other actor. 2007 and 2008 is all about that hairstyle that makes ME unique and looks good on ME.

Finding the Right Wedding Hair Style

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life and you want to look your absolute best. Finding just the right wedding hair style to compliment your face, your eyes, and your wedding gown - can be one of the most difficult tasks of preparing for your wedding.

How do you decide what is the right wedding hair style for you? How you decide which style is right for you has a lot to do with personal preference. Secondary considerations would be factors such as is your wedding a daytime wedding, or an evening wedding? Will the wedding and reception take place indoors or out? Are you going to be wearing a headpiece, and if so - what kind?

Generally the guidelines are just that - guidelines. Your choice to follow the wedding hair style guidelines depends on the theme you've chosen for your wedding and how formal or casual you want your wedding to be.

Up styles are suitable for all wedding settings. Wearing your hair up lends an appearance of elegance and sophistication. So if you are having a formal, black tie event then an up style might be a good idea and in some circles it might even be demanded.

Even if your wedding is not an ultra elegant affair. Even if you are having a beach wedding with cookie favors instead of wine favors an up style is still appropriate and will still lend a touch of class to your wedding day.

Wearing your hair half up is suitable for both indoor and outdoor weddings; though the style is used most of the time for daytime weddings - it also works very well for night weddings. This choice has become popular because it combines the flattering and softening features of wearing the hair down without giving up too much of the formal advantage of an up style. Check with your fiance. This hair style is often preferred by guys for that very reason.

Wearing the hair down is gaining in popularity, but if you will be outdoors for any amount of time - it might not be such a good idea. It is a beautiful look and compliments many style of headpieces, but its staying power may not be exactly what you will be looking for. This is the easiest wedding hair style to create, but the hardest to keep looking fresh.

Whatever you choose, your style should reflect you and go a long way in complimenting your gown and headpiece. These are just a few things to keep in mind when deciding on a wedding hair style.

5 Hot Hair Style Trends For 2006

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

If 2005 was a time for trendy locks, then 2006 promises to be even trendier. 2005 was the age of the great re-invention, when old styles were rehashed with greater imagination. The basic styles were evidently from the late 60s and the 70s. All could see that the inspiration behind the styles lay firmly at the doors of the good ol' days. But, each new style had that little something- a sizzling zing that gave the old style a completely fresh and stunning look.

Trends in the fashion industry seem to be taking some time in making a global sweep. From the time of its inception, a particular style takes a few years to gain acceptance and a few years still to frizzle out. Accessories are a MUST this year. 'ACCESSORISING RIGHT ' is what 2006 is all about! The 5 hot hairstyles trends that are set to sweep you off your feet in 2006 are as below:

The Hollywood makeover: Classic vintage Hollywood - that's what smooth waves of lush hair with deep side partings remind you of. There are some easy ways to get this look. After a shower, pat dry your hair. Toweling will spoil the effect. Follow this with some finger waving. Pin curling will also achieve this effect. Classic vintage accessories like rhinestones and feathers will complete the look. Ostrich feathers are going to be a rage in the coming year.

The trendy 80s: The 70's have worn themselves off with the whole "Hippie/disco" look finally petering out. Now, it is time to rock with the decade of decadence, as the 80s are often called. Straight is out and crimps are in. More movement, short layering styles and tousled, wind-blown look. Pig-tails are a definite "no-no". Keep a sharp eye for brightly colored sweatshirts, tapering blue jeans and spiky stilettos. Junky jewelry is another 80s passion.

The Beatles reborn: The mod hairstyle of the 50s and 60s has come back in a big way. This new version is shorter, with more texture in the crown, and blunt bangs that almost touch the eyelashes. An ultrashort hairdo and angular cuts will be a rage in 2006. Colors and highlights give extra depth to the hair, and reflect the more playful and experimental attitude of the times.

Asymmetric cuts: Extreme angles and blunt edges give this hairdo a sculptural look. The unexpected blunt edges make this a rather extreme and edgy trend. There is no blending and smooth transition here. An asymmetric cut where one side is longer than the other makes 2006 an exciting time for youngsters who do not mind experimenting. The angle at which the hair is cut can be a gentle slope or even a drastic plummet. People who have very short hair can turn this style to their advantage. Fun patterns carved into the side of the head makes this style a real showstopper.

The Mohawk style: Another versatile style that people with short hair can wear beautifully. This style is well suited for both guys and girls, long-haired and short-haired. The classic Mohawk style has a narrow strip of hair down the middle of the scalp. This was also known as the "scalp lock". If the hair is short, use a gel or wax to simply push your hair up in the center of the head. A temporary Mohawk is easily achieved. Just plaster the hair to the sides and push the hair at the center to the top. An authentic Mohawk look will need you to trim the sides and the back of your hair and create an elevated "peak" at the center. This style is a little difficult to achieve and maintain.

Your hairstyle is only as good looking as your hair is and it is therefore very important to take good of your hair and use products containing Aloe vera juice from the Aloe vera plant and other beneficial substances.

Prom Hair Style Advice From A Pro

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

So you're graduating. Congratulations! As a stylist, I know your prom hair style ranks right up there with your dress for importance. This article will help you decide how to style your hair for prom. There are a few considerations to ensure that your prom hair style is flattering and compliments your features and your dress.

Consider the following elements when choosing your prom hair style:

Face Shape - Just like your day to day hair style, your prom hairstyle should compliment your face shape. Here are a few "rules of thumb." If you have a long face, opt for a style with a sweeping bang and more volume on the sides than on top. If you have a short face, try a swept back style with some height on top. A wide face should have some hair left down at the sides to create length. It's all about proportion.

Dress Style and Neckline - Proportion is key here too. If you're wearing a slender dress, choose a hair style in keeping with that silhouette. If your dress is wide on the bottom, make sure you've got a bit of volume to your hairstyle to balance the entire look.

The neckline of your dress is critical to consider when choosing your prom hair style. If your dress has an open neckline in the front and back, wearing the bulk of your hair down would look great. However, if the back is covered or the front and back are both closed in, consider wearing most or all of your hair up off the neck. An elegant updo would suit that type of dress very well.

Accessories - Use accessories sparingly in your prom hair style. A few rhinestone hair pins, small flowers, a string of pearls, even a tiara can add character to your style and compliment your dress. Overuse of accessories can look a bit garish, so keep it minimal; just enough for impact.

Hair Texture - Curls are a prom hair style staple and can be done in several shapes and sizes. But they're not the only way to texturize your style. Small braids woven throughout the hair add a unique element. Bone straight hair can look great in an updo, so long as there's a bit of height to it and heaps of shine. Finger waves add a glamorous feel and are great for dressing up shorter hair styles.

Updo or Not - Just because it's a prom hair style doesn't mean it has to be an updo. Hair left down and styled in voluptuous waves can be every bit as glamorous as an updo hair style. Especially with a few select accessories; a flower behind the ear or a rhinestone tiara. The larger consideration is if a style suits your dress and your overall theme.

Theme - Your dress will have a certain "feel" to it. Glamorous, funky, classic, etc...Make sure your prom hair style is in keeping with the feel of your dress. You're creating a head to toe look and if an element is off, the look becomes awkward. So put some thought into how you'd describe your look and design a hair style around that theme. Or relate your theme to your stylist if you're having your hair professionally done. (Which I highly recommend)

Consultation and Trial - If you're having your hair done at a salon it's a good idea to visit the stylist beforehand for a consultation and/or a trial. Consultations are generally free; the stylist will sit with you, look at photos, discuss your ideas, and share their thoughts on what would look good and be workable on your hair type and face shape. A trial is an appointment where the stylist actually does your hair to see if your plans are what you actually want. The trial appointment is not free, but well worth it to avoid any potential prom day hair disasters.

A final word of advice; avoid anything too trendy for your prom hair style. Trendy is great for every day wear, but your prom is a memorable event that you'll be looking at photos of forever. If you go too trendy, you could be looking back in 5 years saying "What was I thinking?!" Besides, this is a rare opportunity to explore your glamorous side and feel positively stunning in your ensemble. Have a geat prom!

5 Hot Hair Style Trends For 2005

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Folks are so diverse in 2005, which means that there's never just one hair style trend that's hot at any given time. All of history is fair game for re-invention. Truly, there's not much that hasn't been done before. Yet somehow, each incarnation takes on a fresh spin, and emerges fabulous.

The latest hair style trends sweep the globe slowly, which means that the life cycle is actually a few years from the birth of a new trend to the eventual fizzle. And then there are those we can't ever seem to eradicate completely (terrible 80's bangs), but that's another article, another time.

Today's hair trends can be broken down into five general categories. Here's a rundown of each...

Old Hollywood Glamour - The vintage Hollywood glamour look is characterized by smooth, voluptuous waves, and deep side parts. The best techniques to get the look are pin curling and finger waving. Top it off with a beautiful vintage accessory on one side or at the back. Look for items with rhinestones or feathers, especially ostrich feathers...we'll be seeing alot of those.

80's Inspired - A return to the 80's means an influence from that time...texture and movement, shorter layers throughout the top, lots of waves and tousled curls. It does not mean that if you're still sporting a tired old eighties mullet, you're suddenly back en vogue.

The New Mod - Think "super-fly Beatle". The re-born version of the classic 50's-60's mod style has shorter lengths and texture in the crown, which become heavy, almost blunt bangs that skim the eyelashes. Annoying, I know, but hey...what's a little discomfort in the name of fashion? The back and sides of the new mod style can range from short to medium with either lots of texture or distinct bluntness around the hairline.

Disconnected and Asymmetric Cuts - Extreme angles create a sculptural feel with this hair trend. Blunt edges cut in unexpected places. No blendy-blend here. This trend is very edgy, but can be tamed down by going with an asymmetric cut (one side longer than the other). The angle of the cut can range from a gentle slope to a plummet, with one side very short, graduating to chin-length as it comes around the head.

Very short haired folks can also take advantage of this trend. Carve fun patterns into the sides of the hair. Or go more extreme with a version like I recently saw Ed Robertson from the Barenaked Ladies sporting. Part shaved, part everyday guys short haircut. It looked to me like he had to bolt from the barber's chair halfway through his buzz, but it's all in the eye of the beholder, I suppose.

Mohawks and Faux-Hawks - A hot trend for both guys and gals, the mohawk will be settlin' in for a good spell. This look is immensely versatile, possible to mimic on any hair length. If your hair is short, use a wax or gel and simply direct it forward and up in the center. For a temporary mohawk on longer lengths, back comb a rectangular section from your front hairline to your crown. Slick the sides down close to your head, either behind the ears or secure these sections straight back and underneath the back sections. Instant faux-hawk...hair today...gone tomorrow!

A tad more commitment is required to achieve an authentic mohawk look. You'll need to have your stylist trim up the sides and back/sides, leaving a "peak" of length down the center of the head (obviously), otherwise, it'll be difficult to create the classic mohawk shape.

Make a trend your own by incorporating elements from one or two of the above influences. Keep your hair type, face shape, and lifestyle in mind when choosing a new hair style. Just because a mohawk is in style doesn't mean you're an automatic candidate to sport one. If you have a long or diamond shaped face, a full-on mohawk would be a disaster. (Unless you're going for the "pointy head" look, which is doubtful.)

If you like to experiment, stick with the trends that don't require alot of commitment with the haircut. The Hollywood Glamour look, the faux-hawk, and the new mod are good options for this because they can easily be changed the next day.

Hair style trends are forever shifting, morphing into new versions of themselves, then dying out entirely...well, at least for the next few decades, 'til they emerge once again and sweep the planet. Now that you're feeling inspired, let me leave you with this...Have fun with your hair! After all, you'll be dealing with it on a daily basis for the rest of your life...What better reason to spice it up a little?!

Hair Perm - Home Perm Hair Style

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

Making straight hair curly is not a new hair style idea. Women in ancient Egypt coated their hair in mud, wound it around wooden rods and then used the heat from the sun to create the curls. Waves that won't wash out are a more recent innovation. Modern perms were pioneered by A F Willat, who invented the "cold permanent wave" technique in 1934. Since then, improved formulations and ever more sophisticated techniques have made perm the most versatile option in hair style.

How Hair Perm works
Perm works by breaking down inner structures in your hair and reforming them around a curler to give a new shape. Hair should be washed prior to perming as this causes the scales on the cuticles to rise gently, allowing the perming lotion to enter the hair shaft more quickly. The perming lotion alters the Kertin and breaks down the sulphur bonds that link the fibre like cells together in the inner layers of each hair. When these fibres have become loose, they can be formed into a new shape, when the hair is stretched over a curler or a perming rod. Once the curlers or rods are in place, more lotion is applied and the perm is left to develop to fix the new shape. The development time can vary according to the condition and texture of the hair. When the development is complete, the changed links in the hair are re-formed into their new shape by the application of a second chemical known as the neutralizer. The neutralizer contains an oxidizing agent that is effectively responsible for closing up the broken links and producing the wave or curl permanently.

The type of curl that is produced depends on a number of factors. The size of the curler is perhaps the most important as this determines the size of the curl. Generally speaking the smaller the curler the smaller and therefore tighter the curl, whereas medium to large curlers tends to give a much looser effect. The strength of lotion used can also make a difference, as can the texture and type of hair. Hair in good condition takes a perm much better than hair in poor condition and fine hair curls more easily than coarse hair.

After a perm it takes 48 hours for the keratin in the hair to harden naturally. During this time the hair is vulnerable to damage and must be treated with care. Resist shampooing, brushing, vigorous combing, blow drying or set ting, any of which may cause the perm to drop. Once hair has been permed it remains curly and shaped the way it has been formed, although new growth will be straight. As time goes by the curl can soften and if the hair is long its weight may make the curl and the wave appear much looser.

Home Versus Salon Hair Perm
Perming is such a delicate operation that many women prefer to leave it in the hands of experienced, professional hair dressers. The advantages of having hair permed in a salon are several. The hair is first analyzed to see whether it is in fit condition to take a perm; colored, out-of-condition, or over-processed hair may not be suitable. With a professional perm there is also a greater choice in the type of curl - different strengths of lotion and different winding techniques all give a range of curls that are not available in home perm.

Home Rules For Perm Hair Style
If you do use a perm at home, it is essential that you read and follow the instructions supplied with the product. Remember to do a test curl to check whether your hair is suitable and check to make certain you have enough curlers. You will probably want to enlist the help of a friend, as it's impossible to curl the back sections of your own hair properly, so you will need a helping hand. Timing is crucial - don't be tempted to remove the lotion before the time given or leave it on longer than directed.

Salon Perms - The Choices
Professional hair dresser can offer a number of different types of perm that are not available for home use:

Acid perms produce highly conditioned flexible curls. They are ideally suited to hair that is fine, sensitive, fragile, damaged or tinted as they have a mildly acidic action that minimizes the risk of hair damage.

Alkaline perm give strong, firm curl result on normal and resistant hair.
Exothermic perm give bouncy, resilient curls. "Exothermic" refers to the gentle heat that is produced by the chemical reaction that occurs when the lotion is mixed. The heat allows the lotion to penetrate the hair cuticle, conditioning and strengthening the hair from inside as the lotion moulds the hair into its new shape.

Any of above types of perm can be used with different techniques to produce a number of results as under:- Body perm are very soft, loose perm created by using large curlers, or some times rollers. The results is added volume with a hint of wave and movement rather than curls. Root perms add lift and volume to the root area only. They give height and fullness and are therefore ideal for short hair that tends to go flat.

Spiral perm create romantic spiral curls, an effect that is produced by winding the hair around special long curlers. The mass of curls makes long hair look much thicker. Stack perm give curl and volume to one - length hair cuts by means of different sized curlers. The hair on top of the head is left unpermed while the middle and ends have curl and movements. Weave perms involve perming certain sections of hair and leaving the rest straight to give a mixture of texture and natural looking body and bounce, particularly on areas around the face such as the fringe.

Hairdressing training dvds

Let's face it hair styles come and go as fast as the weather changes. And did you know that one of the most popular 2006 summer hair styles is the trendy hurricane hair styles. Why are hurricane hairstyles in?

Well, it appears that those people who have their hair out of place, but in place at all times show a sense of individualism and above the norm. In other words it is not relevant to what you think about their hair, because they are who they are and anyone who can get away with a haircut like that is obviously somewhat important and they do not care what you think because of their social status.

Apparently this is driving many movie stars, actresses and people on contest reality TV shows to go for the hurricane hair style trends. So if you're thinking of a certain hairstyle this summer to wear to be trendy you might consider the hurricane look. Additionally, you would be well advised to look at a few other trends that are happening during the 2006 summer season.

If you will pick up the People's magazine you'll see there are several other very popular haircuts that both men and women are into. And you may be surprised how easy these haircuts are and how easy it will be for you to modify your haircut and your personality for around $50.

Everyone knows that the proper hairstyle can help you with the opposite sex, in a sales career or in your work. It makes sense to spend extra money to look appropriately to attract others by way of a personal best first impression. Considers the 2006.

The combination of practice and the right styling product enables you to achieve a salon finish at home. The products listed below enable you to do it in style.

GELS
Gels come in varying degrees of viscosity, from a thick jelly to a liquid spray. They are sometimes called sculpting lotions and are used for precise styling. Use them to lift roots, tame wisps, create tendrils, calm static, heat set, and give structure to curls. Wet gel can be used for sculpting styles.

TIP :-

A gel can be revitalized the following day by running wet fingers through the hair, against the direction of the finished look.

HAIR SPRAY
Traditionally, hair spray was used to hold a style in place; today varying degrees of stiffness are available to suit all needs. Use hair spray to keep the hair in place, get curl definition when scrunching, and mist over rollers when setting. Hair sprays are available in a variety of formulations, including light and firm holds.

TIPS :-

A light application of spray on a hair brush can be used to tame flyaway ends. Use hair spray at the roots and tong or blow-dry the area to get immediate lift.

MOUSSE
Mousse is the most versatile styling product. It comes as a foam and can be used on wet or dry hair. Mousses contain conditioning agents and proteins to nurture and protect the hair. They are available in different strengths, designed to give soft to maximum holding power, and can be used to lift flat roots or smooth frizz. Use when blow-drying, scrunching, and diffuser drying.

TIPS :-

Make sure you apply mousse from the roots to the ends, not just in a blob on the crown. Choose the right type for your hair. Normal is good for a great many styles, but if you want more holding power, don't just use more mousse as it can make hair dull; instead, choose a firm or maximum hold product

SERUMS
Serums, glossier, polishes, and shine sprays are made from oils or silicones, which improve shine and softness by forming a microscopic film on the surface of the hair. Formulations can vary from light and silky to heavier ones with a distinct oily feel. They also contain substances designed to smooth the cuticle, encouraging the tiny scales to lie flat and thus reflect the light and make the hair appear shiny. Use these products to improve the feel of the hair, to combat static, de-frizz, add shine and gloss, an9. temporarily repair split ends.

TIP :-

Don't use too much serum or you will make your hair greasy.

STYLING OR SETTING LOTIONS
Styling lotions contain flexible resins that form a film on the hair and aid setting, and protect the hair from heat damage. There are formulations for dry, colored or sensitized hair; others give volume and additional shine. Use for roller setting, scrunching, blow-drying, and natural drying.

TIP :-

If using a styling lotion for heat setting look out for formulations that offer thermal protection.

WAXES, POMADES AND CREAMS
These products are made from natural waxes, such as carnauba (produced by a Brazilian palm tree), which are softened with other ingredients such as mineral oils and lanolin to make them pliable. Both soft and hard formulations are available. Some pomades contain vegetable wax and oil to give gloss and sheen. Other formulations produce foam and are water soluble, and leave no residue. Use for dressing the hair and for controlling frizz and static.

Tip :-

When applying mousse use a "handful", and make sure you distribute it evenly.

Teen Hair Style Ideas

" Now YOU Can Learn How To Cut & Style Hair Easily In 2 Hours or Less... With The Ultimate Home Hairdressing Course "

Hairdressing training dvds

There is perhaps never a better time when you can pull off the very trendy and funky hair styles as when you are a teenager. The teen hair style, while always evolving and reflecting the tastes of the generation, always tends to be a trendy hair style that is hard for older people to imitate and still look great. From a ton of texture to funky and fresh color techniques, the teen hair style is always at the cutting edge of fashion.

The funky teen hair style always looks like it has been taken straight off the runway. Infused with rich, trendy color, the teen hair style does a lot to capture an era of style completely. Just think about all of the famous teen hair styles, of the past. Complete generations have been defined by the trendy hair styles worn by the teenagers of that time.

Today, top teen hair styles are trendier than ever and cover a wide range of styles, lengths and textures. Perhaps for the first time, the teen hair style is a reflection of the person within instead of the popular teen hair styles without. I mean just think of how many popular teen hair styles there are to choose from. We are no longer like the cookie-cutter generations that came before.

While there are a great deal of teen hair styles to choose from and numerous variations of each, it can be hard to find the perfect teen hair style to reflect your personality and tastes. So, here are a few ideas for your next teen hair style.

The short teen hair style

The teen hair style has never been shorter. In fact, many teenage girls are now wearing their hair shorter than the boys. But one thing is always sure; the short teen hair style is always a trendy hair style. Full of texture and interest, the short teen hair style is never dull.

Probably the most popular short teen hair style of today is a variation on the pixie cut. Only about 1" to 1 ½" in length throughout, this teen hair style is heavily textured and can be worn in several different ways. From rigid spikes and soft funk to close-to-the-head tresses, this teen hair style accommodates a wide range of tastes.

The textured teen hair style

No matter what length your locks are, texture is needed to pull off a trendy hair style. This texture can be created through cutting and razoring techniques, it can be natural as in the case of natural curl, and it can be created chemically through perms and relaxers or thermal styling tools.

As mentioned before, today's teen hair style is never boring. Not only does texture liven up your teen hair style, it can also take a popular style and make it uniquely your own. Take for instance a simple layered teen hair style. Falling about shoulder length, this teen hair style would be dull if left to hang straight. But if you take the same cut and add pomade to texturize the ends or add spiral curl to this teen hair style with tube rollers, you could really have a different teen hair style each and every day.

The teen hair style and color

Every trendy hair style needs color, and the same is true for the teen hair style. Adding color can be as simple as a few highlights or lowlights or it can come in the form of dramatic changes such as dark colors for the Gothic look. Color for the teen hair style can also be a statement of itself. Just look at the colors worn by Pink and Christina Aguilera. Their most popular teen hair style cuts were not really anything that unique, it was their color that set their teen hair style apart from others.

When choosing color for your teen hair style do not be afraid to try something funky and unique. This may be the only time in your life that you can get by with blue highlights. Also, do not become wrapped up in choosing the same color for your teen hair style that you have seen worn by other people. Stay unique, venture out, be brave and you will always have a teen hair style worthy of envy.
